Dr. Miller and I shared our ideas on ways to improve the teaching of special needs students. She is awesome. Dr. Kari Miller is a Los Angeles-based educational therapist, an academic specialist who works with special needs students (autism, ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, dyslexia, etc.). In the Los Angeles Unified School District alone, there are 82,000 students with identified learning issues of some sort. One major challenge for teachers and parents of students with special needs is helping them become academically successful. By adopting a mentoring attitude and providing the correct kind of supports at home and in the classroom, parents and educators can set up optimum conditions for children with any learning roadblock to improve their future potentials! Learn many unexpected strategies that are backed by solid research support. Dr. Miller will shortly be making available a series of downloadable information packets that discuss these principles in greater depth.
