I am Xena: Featuring Regina Rowley

The I am Xena Radio Show is proud to feature Regina Rowley co-Founder of IamXena.com this week.  Regina began taking Tae-kwon-do years ago with my son.  Although he discontinued, I found the demanding mental and physical exercise highly beneficial and continued. Spring 2008 afforded me the opportunity to achieve my Black Belt.  While researching self defense programs I came across several including Hikuta and have high regards for it. Krav Maga, the official self-defense and fighting system of the Israeli Defense Forces is the foundation for Commando Krav Maga.  Smartsafe, aka: Women’s Commando Krav Maga, is the program I have chosen to teach, receiving my first certification in NYC March 2010.

I am fulfilling my dream and living my legacy each time I speak and teach. I easily take the negatives from my own life and create positives for other women. I visualize myself in Italy, Greece and Switzerland exploring the different cultures to learn what is different and what is the same when it comes to domestic violence and sexual assault against women. As I speak to women’s groups on Awareness, Prevention, Empowerment, and Personal Protection I am helping others understand WHY this is such an important issue. Together, we find unlimited strength and truly make a positive difference in the lives of women every where!
