Homage to the tour guide of Midnight Marauders.
Nikki Eddy is and AP/IB teacher at Castle Park High School, in Chula VIsta, CA. In my humble opinion, her biggest contribution to youth is providing the atmoshpere so students can organize around the issues that are important to them. So transformative is her approach, that students have taken the lead on some professional development for school staff on issues of social justice.
Ms. Eddy also happens to teach one of my favorite classes in high school, Theory of Knowledge, part of the International Baccalaureate program. A course on epistomology, students study how we have formed systems of knowledge since the early inception of rationalized thought.
Shout out to Landlord Jim's and ARE (Association of Raza Educators) by Ms. Eddy. Hope you enjoy the episode.
