Seriously, there is not enough ROOM to tell you about Michael Silverman. But this grateful host will try!  It was meant to be that the overwhelming talent of successful artists - like Michael & Jeff Lorber - should meet and partner via "Human Spirit."

About Michael - who so loved the idea of crearting keyboard magic with Jeff. He thrives in "the Loop" - one of those areas in the USA - in St. Louis - that pops and sizzles DAILY. The music is everywhere. Michael is known for his Classical and New Age masterpieces. He is among the most downloaded pianists in the world. A genius. His band, Bach to the Future, translates symphonies and fugues to a variety of styles - including Jazz. He and his brother, Rob (also on "Human Spirit") co-founded the astoundingly successfull Autumn Hill Records. And they have created or sponsored MANY Jazz Festivals. Also - Michael has composed music for UBER popular TV shows: "Two and a Half Men", "The Good Wife" and "American Horror Story"among them. Dare I say: this is a Renaissance Man!

You are no stranger to Jeff Lorber. Philadelphia born (I can be objective!), our friend is a keyboard giant, composer, producer and band leader. Six Grammy nominations, he won in 2018 for "Prototype" with his Jeff Lorber Fusion ensemble. This beloved artist has given us over FOUR decades of shaping Contemporary Jazz. He LOVED the idea of meshing his rhythmic sensibilities and production skills with Michael's melody and magic resume. Jeff has said that "Human Spirit" projects calmness and peacefulness - exactly what we need NOW. Michael states that he hungered to focus on something different that would draw new vision and strength from both artists - the BEST of them. With guests on the album like Jimmy Haslip, Eric Marienthal, Paul Jackson Jr., David Benoit and MORE: mission accomplished!
