Atlanta based Randy Hoexter is creative in a way that may be new for you - and isn't that ALWAYS what we need in Jazz?!  This pianist, composer, arranger, producer and educator has made an impact on MANY. "Jazziz" Magazine saw fit to include Randy in the current edition of the magazine. If you know anything about "Jazziz", you realize how eclectic they are. Which is AWESOME. Much like "Hybrid Jazz", editors like the ebb & flow of ALL kinds of factors in determining what Jazz IS. And our guest might have carved a new niche in that regard!

"Fromage" is not Randy's first rodeo re: albums. But this particular one is getting buzz because of its theme. Re-imagined 1970's songs that illicited GROANS at one time, They were loved enough to be stone cold HITS - but Radio wore them OUT! It soon happened that, over time, every time you heard (for example) "You Light Up My Life", you had a physical reaction. LOL!  Our Master keyboardist and King of Re-tooling decided to research a list of THOSE songs and give them renewed love - via Jazz renderings. He truly wanted to create ART.

Boy howdy, did Randy have help in this regard. Among the stellar friends who wanted to be a part of this project: Jimmy Haslip and Dave Weckl. These works are STUNNING. And they will electrify your Summer in ways that you NEED in this challenging year. Anytime a set of songs can make you smile and remember - maybe even laugh out loud? We're IN!

So you know, this unique talent has been recognized by respected artists who have clamored for his input on THEIR work. Randy has joined forces musically AND has blessed commercial endeavors as well. He has written and produced ads for Yamaha, Univision, Arby's and other household name companies. His educational background, too, is remarkable.
