To have the honor of interviewing LINDA LAVIN (she deserves those caps!) is something that this host cannot describe. Those of us who are older have been familiar with this multi-talented Legend since our childhood. And may it be said that Linda's background is infinitely more than her starring, award-winning role in TV's "Alice."

When you research what this incredible woman has done since the 1950's, it takes your breath. She was resolute after her graduation from the College of William and Mary. New Jersey theater - then pounding the pavement in New York. That resolve didn't take her long. She became involved in The Compass Players and appeared in several Broadway shows by the early '60's. Television beckoned her in the 70's. A two-season run in "Barney Miller" turned into nine years via "Alice." Linda won two Golden Globes as the strong female lead that changed minds, hearts and roles for women in Hollywood.

But here's an important point - as MUCH as Ms. Lavin has been on our TVS for decades (numerous starring and guest shots followed "Alice"), Broadway seems to be her 'Baby." Listen to this: her awards include Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics, Obie, Theater World, and Helen Hayes. She has been inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame. Her alma mater has bestowed an honorary Doctor of Arts degree, having recognized the breadth of work that she has done. It's not ONLY the work - it's the quality of work which impressed them. AND us!

Why our globally beloved guest is visiting on 5/26: her new album, "Love Notes." Produced by long-time collaborator, Billy Stritch, it's EVERYTHING you'd expect from a mind blowing Super Star. Who has the RIGHT to sing Cole Porter and Duke Ellington - along with "Black Cow" by Steely Dan!  YES!

Join us for Jazz HEALING. This is PRECISELY what Linda Lavin will DO!
