Hybrid Jazz From Trish Hennessey - with Lindsey Webster!

This young lady has NO idea how much yours truly enjoyed reading her bio :)  Hippie parents in Woodstock, New York (y'all gotta know that we're talking about a generation of great music lovers!) raised their precious daughter on a diet of Beatles and Jimi juice.  Lindsey Webster took to music like a fish to water - and learned cello while attending a progressive school in that beloved part of the world.  She spend time in New York City, too, attending LaGuardia - where the Arts flourished and Lindsey found her "voice."  LITERALLY.

In 2009, Lindsey teamed with a pianist who would become her # fan - and future husband, Keith Slattery.  Something fabulous truly kicked in gear with these partners.  On the first album that was a collaboration, their song, "Choices", was voted Best Acoustic Song by the Independent Music Awards.  The second project, "You Change", rocked their world.  "Fool Me Once" was so strong a single that it hit #1 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Chart for four weeks, toppling the previous reign of another vocalist that you might know: SADE :-O  Yes, Sade had achieved top status for THREE weeks - in 2010. And the fact that a vocally driven song made it to the top of the heap, ANYWAY, is spectacular.  And rare.

Because of that victory - and at the urging of manager, Bud Harner, to consider the leap - Lindsey signed to Shanachie Entertainment.  And here we need to address album number three: "Back to Your Heart."  With hundreds of venues under her belt, a skyrocketing career, and a new set of soulfully infused, charismatically compelling songs, THIS wise-beyond-her-years artist is bringing back REAL music to grateful ears.  No recording tricks - no autotune.  Cool and in command: this is Lindsey Webster :)  She visits us on 12/6/16 at ONE p.m. Eastern - join us in The Chat Room!
