Mitch Haupers is no ordinary Professor at Berklee.  Celebrating over two decades there, he has been lauded as one of their finest.  He has created and produced a series of studies to his inspired charges that bring music to new life.  He specializes in ear training, as well as harmony and improvisation.  Mitch has been praised in his approach to those who are learning disabled.  This is a reason why it's such an honor to feature him on the show.  When learning that particular component of his amazing journey, his "Invisible Cities" rang truer to this listener than MORE words could say.

This is a man of rare artistry - a guitarist and pianist.  He is also a composer that is able to breathe comfort into original Jazz and Chamber music.  His work always has a destination - you can feel it as your ears take an extraordinary ride.  Did I mention that Mitch is a producer and author, too?  We might run out of room here :)  We might as well call him a Renaissance Man - because he has been involved in public relations regarding Jazz - AND sales.  And promotion.  Which includes Jazz Festivals and their production.  Let's throw in Classical orchestra management and expertise on concert touring.  This interview might be a little intimidating!

We're going to talk about what seems to be a passion for Mitch - his workshops.  And his "Liquid Harmony Music."  Of course, we'll dwell on his album and how glorious the teamwork was on "Invisible Cities."  With this kind of company, how could a stellar musician go wrong?  Bob Mintzer, Alan Pasqua, Darek Oles, Russell Ferrante, and Peter Erskine.  OH - and Jimmy Haslip produces!
