Listen, for a guy who didn't pick up the saxophone until he was 28, Dee Lucas is catching UP!  WHOA!   Dee is now an internationally known artist with a now fifth album under his belt.  We're so looking forward to his visit because this is his second go-round on "Hybrid Jazz" - and there seems to be so much that has changed - all positive.

And DATES - this man has a slew of live events coming up - each one will be discussed.  One of those brings him to our region.  In the shadow of Washington, D.C.  There is no doubt that Dee will have a sold-out crowd at Firestation 1 in Silver Spring, Maryland - that's September 20th.  But he also has big shows happening in his home base, Georgia, and in Los Angeles, too.

If you've been keeping up with the career of Dee Lucas, then you're already impressed.  2004 marked his debut with "Remembrance" - a tribute to one of his musical inspirations, George Howard.  In 2007, we heard "Something To Ride 2" - followed by "Standing Room Only" in 2010.  The next year, it was "Rebirth of the Smooth."  That's when Dee first stopped by - and we had a blast!

Earlier this year, "The Smooth Factor" was released - and audiences from all over the globe are, once again, smitten. When we hear three tracks from the CD you'll hear why :)  You don't get to work with Hugh Masekela, Ronnie Laws, Nneena Freelon and Michael Franks unless you're something SPECIAL.  Dee has consistently shown us how much.

Matter-of-fact, our mutual friend, Jonathan Widran, said it best at Dee's website.  Jonathan calls what Dee does "soulful mastery."  We, his fans, couldn't agree more!

Please join us for a musical reunion - when Dee Lucas joins us on 8/26 at two p.m. Eastern.
