Hybrid Jazz From Trish Hennessey - with Lisa Hilton!

So, you already know how Yours Truly feels about such a seasoned, serene and slammin' FEMALE Jazz artist, right?  Oh, this is FUN - to share this multiple talent with you!

From a small town on the Central California coast, Lisa Hilton has become so much more than she could have dreamed.  Classically trained at eight, she received her degree in ART - and loves to wax poetic about the way she layers music the way one would paint :)  

The love of piano was in her early - her inspirations: a no-brainer: Basie, Duke, Monk.  But she also heard Muddy Waters in her head - and Green Day.  From the ancient masters to the contemporary crop of chart-toppers, Lisa has her ear on what's in her world - and she feels very strongly about pieces that reflect 2014 - while reverently nodding to those who paved the way.  

Besides her passionate and nuanced touch on that keyboard, attention must be paid to her big heart.  Fervently believing in giving back, Lisa spends countless hours working with the visually impaired.  She is never too busy as bandleader or published author that she can't take the time to teach and nurture.  

This amazing artist - dubbed "The Lioness of Jazz" by The Jazz Review - is over the moon with the buzz that she's receiving from her new CD, called "Kaleidoscope."  With outstanding support from Larry Grenadier, Marcus Gilmore and J.D.
