To be quite honest, we're pretty ecstactic (yours truly along with The Chat Room) that this re-schedule is actually happening this soon.  A few weeks ago, audio problems prevented us from getting this interview with two of the hottest properties in Contemporary Jazz, etc. ;)

Now why does that abbreviaton for etcetera occur after Jazz?  More truth: Nivo Deux is the quintessential HYBRID: a captivating mix of modern Jazz with Electro Pop and the essence of the 80's.  Both Shannon Kennedy and U-Nam absolutely GROOVE to that decade, as evidenced by U's stellar "Back From the 80's" project a few years ago.

Now, you KNOW that something bold is bound to happen with this married couple - who also have a marriage of the minds when it comes to music.  Producer and chart-topping U-Nam has been successful in his native France for quite a while - a pro at 19!  He spread his wings and flew to Los Angeles less than ten years ago and met Shannon, a young but seasoned saxophonist and vocalist.  She has worked with 10,000 Maniacs and Peter White - and U has shared the stage or the studio with a who's who of names.  One of them is George Benson, who believes that this dynamic guitarist is the wave of the future.

YOU will have little doubt about that when you hear Nivo Deux via the EP, "Open Beta."  Simply put, it's passionate sincerity blended with the strongest sense of FUN - how desperately do we need that in our times?!

Get to know this fearless twosome, confident of their sound and creative to spare!  You'll also hear about the brilliant mentoring that Shannon does - her work with young people is exactly the kind of news that we love to share on "Hybrid Jazz!"

Music starts the show - our breathtakingly talented guests visit during the third hour.
