Listen, truth be told - Kerensa Gray doesn't have time to do this interview.  With teaching, tutoring, gigging and keeping up with the ads that are everywhere concerning her latestt project, "Bliss", I'm amazed that she can carve out an hour.  But we're cool like that - especially since we're both Pennsylvania Girls  - that counts for a LOT ;)

It has been a pleasure to watch the Kerensa Star rise over the past few years.  In 2008, her "Let Me Be Me" CD received strong buzz, in part because of the producer: Drew Davidsen, whose star was also on the rise.

The talk of Kerensa started before she won the 20th Annual Billie Holiday Vocal Competition in Baltimore.  This was a huge event, with contestants vying from all parts of the U.S.  But hearing this violinist-turned-singer sparked something in the judges, and she has been sparking since.

Kerensa has opened for Grammy and Dove Award-winning CeCe Winans - and has shared the stage with internationally known names equal to Winans.  "Bliss" is her own stepping stone toward that recognition - produced in Nashville by Creative Soul Jazz Producer, Eric Copeland.  And featuring Gary Nunn and Tom Hemby on guitar.

We'll hear three tracks from this highly praised CD when Kerensa visits the show on Thursday, January 31st.  Visit her in the meantime at www.kerensagray.com
