Hybrid Jazz From Trish Hennessey - with Wallace Roney!

Some weeks ago, we were scheduled to get together with Wallace....and there was a lesson learned for BOTH of us.  Wallace had an important film shoot at the same time as the interview - had I the opportunity to know that his secretary knew this ahead of time, we would have pushed back the show.  Hey, here's truth.  Creative giants focus on creativity - they can't be held accountable for time management!  LOL!  AND, blonde hosts need to be aware that "people" are there for a reason.  Thank you, DAWN!  :)  Wallace Roney is a rare breed among Jazz musicians...deemed to have perfect pitch at the age of 4, Wallace was further categorized as special when the Philadelphia Orchestra's Eugene Ormandy took the young man under his wing.  Tutored by Clark Terry and Dizzy Gillespie, Wallace is the only post-bop trumpeter that can claim to be personally mentored by Miles Davis - from 1985 until the death of the legend in 1991.  Awards certainly prove it and skill anoints it.  You'll hear the stories and the skills on Thursday, November 17th.  We've been waiting.  You'll hear why it was worth the wait!
