Recent surveys indicate that students in the U.S. are falling behind other countries in critical education areas including reading, science, and math. According to a recent study, out of 34 countries, the United States ranks 14th in reading, 17th in science and 25th in math.
As a parent, I’m sure we’ve all had the highest hopes for our children when it comes to education, and where that education will take them in successful careers.
However, with billions of dollars being piped into our school systems through our federal and local taxes, our children are still failing. With lack of supplies, less books, increased class sizes, failed or cut after-school programs, where is this money going? And why aren’t our children excelling in the areas that are crucial for seeking higher education and obtain decent paying jobs or careers?
On this episode, we will discuss the ever increasing failure of the educational system in the United States.
With the assistance of special guest, Dr. Chris L. Hickey, PhD., we will explore the solutions to the problems when it comes to the education of our children.
