Sit Down, Shut Up & Let Go: Learning to Listen to God

Did you ever hear that joke about the lady who gets stuck in a flood?  The water rises until she finds herself on the roof of her home, water racing by her, carrying all of her belongings off into the distance.  A man in a rowboat came by and offered to take her to shore, but she refused, claiming that she was sure God would save her.  Waters continued to rise, and another boat passed, again offering her a ride.  Once again, she refused, still holding out for God's miracle.  Finally, a helicopter hovered over her, offering to throw down a ladder to save her life, but a third time she refused the help.  Shortly after, the water swept her away and she met her demise.  Reaching Heaven, and feeling pretty disgusted, she asked God why He had forsaken her, as she held on to her faith until the bitter end?  He looked puzzled at her, and replied, "Well, I sent you two boats and a helicopter, what more do you want from me?"
