A Mother's Grief Turns Into a Mother's Greatest Joy

A picture perfect family, that was what the Stumbo family had. A loving Pastors Wife, a devoted doting father, a precious baby girl and another on the way. The family they had always dreamt of was finally coming to fruition and life was grand. 

Until Ellen gave birth to their second baby girl. This baby girl was not the picture "perfect" child they had been dreaming of for the past 9 months. Instead Ellen was looking at a 'broken" baby. Her daughter was born with Down Syndrome. 

As Ellen mourned over the birth of her daughter she actually prayed God take her back. She couldn't believe God could think "she" was the mommy for this baby. No not her!! Well she soon discovered after nearly getting her prayer answered, that she indeed was madly in love with this precious baby. What her and her husband did next was stunning. The way Ellen put it was if God chose me to care for this special needs little girl then I am meant for this so they adopted a daughter with Cerebral Palsy.
