Like the idea of your computer's applications running not from your computer, but from "somewhere in the clouds" or elsewhere?

That's somewhat of a half-humorous attempt by computer geeks at explaining how "cloud computing" works. Essentially, what cloud computing does is it allows you to run your applications on someone else’s server via the Internet.

Now, instead of running your computer applications or storing data on your own computer, cloud computing lets you do this on someone else's computer (remote servers). Not sure if you like the idea of your computer programs or all your information on someone else's computer/server? Neither are we!
