PULLING DOWN STRONGHOLD...(Spiritual Warfare)

How do you know you have a sinful or demonic stronghold? Just ask yourself: to whom or what do you FLEE to when trouble strikes? When stresses press you down? Do your thoughts immediately run to ‘man-made’ towers? How do you handle distress? Do you medicate yourself with sinful practices or addictions? Or do you run to the NAME of the LORD? Whatever you flee to may not necessarily be evil, but whatever you do that keeps you from Jesus Christ and from being victorious, is your true stronghold. And one day that won’t be enough for you. A ‘Stronghold’ means fastness; a fort or fortress; a strong tower; fortified place; a place of security. There are only two types of ‘Strongholds’. (1) The Lord Jesus Chris is our “Stronghold” over Satan and the demons. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous run into it, and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10. (2) Strongholds of Satan and demons over man. This is what has to be demolished and destroyed in Jesus name. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
