Special Guest Vana Thiero

A single mother of two boys diagnosed with autism, Vana Thiero’s dependence on divine guidance is a given. Carter, 15 and Bakary, 13 have unique spectrum challenges. As a doting Mom, her sons’ needs come first because God has great plans for their futures.

With a BFA in Dance (from WMU in Kalamazoo, MI) she pursued a successful career in Los Angeles appearing in many music videos, films and television series. After Kenny Ortega invited her to sit in on an edit session her thirst for production took hold. Obtaining an MA in Communication (back at WMU) she returned to LA freelancing on documentaries, in news and more. Though she had a strong producing background, once married, she received an offer to edit full-time for CNN and she took it.

Vana won an Emmy for her coverage of 9/11. She is currently producing a documentary about her family's life AND she is the editor of Autism Inspiration Monthly Newsletter.
