It is human nature to develop habits.  Those habits become attachments.  You find yourself locked into a pattern of behavior that when you are faced with change you become uncomfortable and sometimes experience pain.  These feeling arise out of the attachments to conditions.  There are those who do not take into consideration these facts and then there is more pain and even resentment.

Attachments are not a bad thing.  Just be aware of what it is and why and that it will pass as you move into new endeavors.  The problem arises, when a person wants to hold onto those things that they discover an attachment to as a result of change taking place.  Change is inevitable and with it the breaking of attachments but the quicker those can be released the easier the transition into something better.

With change comes a letting go of the old and a welcoming in of the new.  The pain you feel is your failure to let go.
