Cleansing the Temple: The Temple is Cleansed

GUTS Series: John 2:13-22. Key Verse: John 2:16.

Jesus wants to restore honor in the church as the central olace of worship in the lives of God's people.

Objecives: 1. That we will learn how Jesus' action of cleansing the Templewas intended to restore God's central place of worship in the lives of His people. 2. To observe the church as God's central place of worship. 3. Through Jesus' actions, recognize how God requires us individually and collectively (as the church) to reverence his presence. 4. To begin to understand, though Jesus' actions of cleansing the temple, the retorin work of God. 5. That we will plan how to keep the church and ourselves pleasing to God by keeping those things which committed to God sacred.

Purity in our worship expression is still important.
