Celebrity-socialite Reno Selleti doesn’t believe in very much beyond Instagram comments, hipster drugs, and the flash of paparazzi cameras, so when a friend invites her to an EYES WIDE SHUT-type party she goes along mostly for the lulz. But the joke doesn’t feel as funny when she realizes it’s an actual occult ritual, and suddenly she’s seeing things… horrifying apparitions trying to warn her. “RUN.”

There's Nothing There is a stylish & hallucinatory thriller about losing yourself in the bright lights and finding yourself at rock bottom by writer Patrick Kindlon, artist Maria Llovet, and published by Black Mask Studios.

Patrick joins Brett and Elana for a brand new episode of Graphic Policy Radio to discuss the series and more.

Patrick Kindlon is a comic writer whose credits include a decade of struggle in other artistic fields, some notoriety among people who get caught shoplifting from Whole Foods, and a few really great comics (due largely to collaborations that elevate his work). His breakthrough book was We Can Never Go Home with oft writing partner Matthew Rosenberg and artist Josh Hood. His most recent work, There's Nothing There with artist Maria Llovet, ups the darkness in his earlier work to pitch black. He is admittedly out-of-touch.
