The Truth about Salvation

The world has a distinct philosophy about what is means to be saved, but is it rooted in truth?  God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life...John 3:16; a very familiar scripture, we have heard it all our lives, we have seen it on banners and billboards, but do we know what the truth of this great salvation really means?
