My second episode in this series is a great one!

This is a prerecorded show no calls will be taken

Jeanne Burke, author of Get Busy Dying to Get Busy Living:  A Workbook to Get Clear on Your Final Wishes.  In this workbook she walks the reader through contemplating the questions in advance you are free to more fully live your life and pursue your dreams.

Jeanne has a master of Divinity from Naropa University in Boulder Colorado. She completed an internship with hospice while finishing her degree and discovered she had found her calling. After she earned her Master’s Degree, she completed a year-long Clinical Pastoral Residency in a hospice setting through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.

Jeanne has provided multifaith spiritual care within a hospice setting and the community; offering compassionate end of life care to terminally-ill patients, their families and loved ones.

Her approach is grounded in Buddhist thought and practice and a study of world religions from a contemplative perspective. Her work is informed on the approach developed by Richard Groves who wrote The Book of American Living and Dying, and views patient needs within spiritual care from the lens of forgiveness, relationship, meaning and hope.

Jeanne is active in the San Diego community.   A passion of Jeanne’s is working with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) elders.  She consults with senior and elder healthcare and housing providers, educating providers about the needs and experiences of LGBT elders.

Join us as we discuss the workbook and answer common questions you may have about preparing your final wishes.
