Some action in the midwest this week as there were bouts happening in Kansas and Oklahoma over the weekend. The WBO junior welterweight title was on the line in Oklahoma City as Maurice Hooker defended the title against Alex Saucedo. There was also a welterweight fight in the co-feature which may lead to some big things in the future for the winner of that bout. The Kansas Star Arena was the site of a heavyweight fight involving two undefeated fighters, but one guy was a class or two above his opponent. We will go into that and what happened in the undercard as some notable fighters were part of it and Claressa Shields defended her middleweight titles in this card.

We will also go through some news and notes about upcoming fights in the next few weeks. Tyson Fury adds someone on his team in preparation for the WBC heavyweight title fight against Deontay Wilder, and we will touch on a title fight that is coming up next week in Atlantic City.
