Understanding Ramadan with Anan Fareed and the Ugandan International Conference

=============Learn more about Ramadan, the month of fasting and praying observed by Muslims all over the world. Ramadan started in August this year and ends September 9-10, 2010. Palestinian born Anan Fareed will discuss the importance of Ramadan for Muslims in America, the Middle East, and throughout the world. She is a faculty member of Al-Quds University, a Palestinian school that has unique partnerships with Brandeis University and Rutgers University. Anan is also a peace advocate and works on behalf of Palestinian women's issues.==========We'll also talk with Angela Bukenya and Sam Ssenkumba, leaders of the Ugandan Diaspora and American Development Association and their international conference that will be held in Boston this weekend.
