First, to Politics. Dopey Joe made a speech last Thursday. According to the La Dpoey NHostra, it was NOT "political". Sure it wasn't...aside from the fact it focused ZERO attention on any accomplishments of La Dopey Nostra, even manufactured ones. I'll talk a bit about it, as well as some other political wranglings.

In Business and "Culture", we have a CFO of a major US company jumping to his death. Fresh on the heels, of course, of major announcements regarding layoffs and store closures. And in Banking, we hae a case of real racism. Although it's infuriating, it's also just sad. And it shouldn't be happening in this country.
 
In Sports, we had an interesting first full week of college football. Though there were no major surprises, there were certainly some interesting games and results. And scores! HawkeyeMike and IndyHawk-KB will be in to discuss it in our second half.
