A supposed ransomware "hack" of the Colonial Pipeline has much of the East Coast and Southeast scrambling for gas amid long lines and rising prices. But does anyone really buy that a pipeline company was hacked by a "Russian criminal group"? And one sees the person assigned to head up restorng the system, Mayor Pete, is there any doubt this "Administration" is ill-equipped to deal with any such situation, let alone believe they aren't secretly cheerleading what has happened?

Small businesses, especially restaurants, are having difficulty getting workers despite the green light--most places, anyway--to reopen. The culprit? An unemployment system that is "too good"? But wait...I thought once you were offered unemployment, you either took it...or forfeited unemployment benefits? Is THIS what we have come to, government paying people to cripple small businesses?

Meanwhile, several former GOP elected officials, headed by Trump Administration turncoat Miles Taylor, say they are giving the GOP "one last chance" to all but abandon Donald Trump, or they will--wait for it--form a new party. Anyone think THIS will even happen, let alone be successful? But...Liz Cheney is out as GOP House Conference Chair.

In Sports, Bob Baffert won his 7th Kentucky Derby, and is now suspended by Churchhill Downs after the winning horse, Medina Spirit, tested positive for banned substances. After first denying it, Baffert later gave a half-assed excuse. While Medina Spirit WILL go on to the Preakness this wekkend, Bob Baffert, now pretty much disgraced, will not. And Derby runner-up Mandaloun, as well as Derby favorite and 4th place finisher, Essential Quality, will also be sitting out the Preakness, as well.

All this and more at 5:30p ET, Wed. 5/12/21. Listen online, or call-in at (319)-527-6706. Let's all get cynical together!
