Pursuing your passion is never easy but it seems to be even harder for people whose passion is creative. Yet every day more people seek to defy the odds and see their creative dreams come to fruition Tonight’s guest as actively pursuing their passions and seeing success.

Memphis born and raised, Antonio James attended dozens of schools before graduating and heading into the Air Force. He left after one term, returning home to hardship and unemployment. It was then that he found his passion: filmmaking. After working on local music videos and commercials, he directed his first film, Trey: The Movie, on a shoestring budget of $750. The film has received critical acclaim and to date has earned $400,000. Antonio has relocated to Los Angeles where he continues to pursue his celluloid dream.

Writer/Director/Producer Carolyn McDonald has spent her career in media. In her eclectic career, she’s worked for Carrie Productions (Danny Glover’s production company) where she produced the critically-acclaimed films Freedom Song and Buffalo Soliders. She also directed and produced P.N.O.K. – Primary Next of Kin, a short film written by yours truly.  Currently, she operates the District 7 production company. With a lifetime of creative pursuits behind her, Carolyn has found her true passion and will discuss it tonight!
