Regina White has more than ten years experience as an outreach community activist.  She started homeless and worked her way into an entry level social worker/case management position with the Mental Health America of Los Angeles Organization. She provides homeless mentally ill clients with clinical intake, psychiatric evaluation, and up to date informative resources needed to implement independent living, along with financial and mental stabilization. Moreover, she provides adequate and necessary referrals to agency professionals that assist with assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and homelessness. Each client has detailed, documented information that they address as areas of immediate concern that affect their ability and efforts to regain, maintain and effectively elevate their succession rate at accomplishing their desired goals and enhancement of quality of life. Regina White coaches clients to achieve life skills that reinforce their self-confidence, courage and determination to overcome adversity while positively applying and utilizing different options in solving life threatening issues. Additionally, she monitors their progress to prevent the promotion of feelings of self-doubt and premature thoughts of failure. Regina White combined her learned studied skills accompanied with her personal experience of being a survivor of mental illness and homelessness to encourage self-sufficiency, self-reliance and the will to continue to challenge clients, as well as herself, to strive toward a better quality of life.
