Nerd Monkeys, a new indie studio based in Portugal, has written a love letter to the 90's adventure genre by way of Detective Case and Clown Bot in Murder in the Hotel Lisbon. At first glance, the game appears as if it is based on the popular Sam and Max franchise, yet developer and founder Filipe Pina states that this isn't the case. What was his inspiration for this colorful detective duo? You'll have to listen to find out!

Pina also discusses Nerd Monkeys' new experiment that will allow authors to actually write stories for future episodes starring Detective Case and Clown Bot and earn royalties for each episode. It's an interesting, forward-thinking expirement that should be fun to follow, and we at Game Academy wish the team all the best.
