Our Constitution: Foundation and Principles

Most of us are aware of the increased corruption of our politicians and our government in general. We recognize the lies we are fed, especially during election campaigns, and have come to accept these moral slips as a normal occurrence.  This is sad in what this says about US!

 

This acceptance of immorality is bad enough. What we don't usually recognize is that this moral slippage is accompanied by a move from the fundamental moral principles our founders intended for us to live by to a prevalent societal change towards an amoral one where there is no conscience.

Amoral dictators like Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Tse Tung stand out for their complete lack of human compassion for their own citizens.  Psychologically, these individuals have been recognized as having no normal human conscience.

 

We see tell-tale signs that this is a much bigger problem when we realize that there has been a massive explosion of sociopathic behavior, such as serial killers, around the world. This also means that we have thousands, if not tens of thousands of people that could easily follow just such a sociopath as they lack conscience as well.

Tonight we'll talk about fundamental human characteristic of morality from a purely political and socio-economic viewpoint.
