Meet Mrs. Mays the Poet!

Theodora Yeldell Mays was born in Reding Pennyslvania in the late 1950’s and was the 3rd of six children born to her (now deceased parents)

Theodora grew up in a religious home with her father being a Minister and her mother a devout God –fearing Christian woman. Theodora learned early in life the importance of loving God and her fellow man and the joy in Thanking and Praising God.  

In the 3rd Grade, her English Teacher had the Class to pick a theme from a list of titles provided and were instructed to write a poem about it.Theodora chose the title….“Oh summer is a Fun Time”.

 As Theodora matured she continued her love for expressing her thoughts through her Poetry Writing, then she began Song Writing, Short Story Writings, Play Writing, etc. 

  On August 7, 2016 (one day before her 61st Birthday…..Theodora pushed the “send” button on the computer and her work was off to a Publisher for submission for her first book. A few weeks later she got the called that overwhelmed and overjoyed her…..Her manuscript was accepted to be published.

Her first upcoming book…..”READ MY MIND…..SEE MY THOUGHTS” is scheduled to be out around Spring of this year. She’s complied a collection of over 30 poems in this book for you to be able to read her mind and see her thoughts.  Because of her love of God upbringing; all her poems have some touch of God within them.  Her first poem she wrote in the 3rd grade is also contained in this book.
