Ilene and our guest begin the interview at 9am pacific/12-noon eastern.

Recently, a friend sent me a series of pictures showing young people “relating” by sitting together and texting! You’ve probably also heard stories, such as the one about a college student who preferred texting his friend—in the adjoining dorm room—rather than stopping by to talk... These days, we’re spending a lot of our life interacting with technology. And it’s taking a toll on us. Stanford-educated Professor Levy helps students understand the “cost” of technology through a class he has developed, "Information and Contemplation," in which he has students look at how technology affects their emotions, fragments their attention, and leads them to constantly multitask. I’ve invited Dr. Levy to tell us what he’s observed and learned that can help US to deal with the cost of technology in our own lives. Join me with your questions and feedback.
