Think about all the different words we have learned since reading, studying and meditating on our Bibles. Growing more and more in our relationship with Jesus, we have all probably learned a new language. One, that with the Holy Spirits teaching and guidance, has began to change the way we look at our circumstances and the way we think. It also has changed the way we speak to each other as Believers. However are we taking that language to the unbeliever and letting the Holy Spirit lead us into conversation? Paul talked about the need to relate to others in order to share the Word and love of God with others in 1st Corinthians 9: 19-22. Paul did not tell us in these passages to change the message, but rather the way in which we communicate it. Are the words and terms we are using that are unfamiliar or preachy only alieniating unbelievers? Does that unbeliever have trouble relating because they are only familiar with the secular meaning or because they don't understand the scriptural interpretation? What to the unbeliever do the words, "saved ", "sinner " ," testimony", " outreach ", " in Christ " , " salvation ", " grace ", " sanctified ", " Calvary " , " condemnation " , mean? What did they mean to you before? Tonight ( Monday Night ) @ 9:00 - 10:30 PM on Foug Crew with hosts Bob and John Fougeray we discuss - Speaking " Christianese " Or " Jesus Language " ?
