Imagine walking through a luxury resort, tables decked with "model" laws you can just pick up take home and then read out for passage. It makes you sound like you know something and benefits those who donate money to your future campaigns. What a deal!
And it's all done without those pesky news hounds following you.
Listen to Melissa Carlson, NE Kansas citizen/journalist as she describes her six week intense hunt for Kansas members of the secretive American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and names the names.
She compared ALEC legislators to people shopping for new gutters on their home at a big box hardware chain store.

Past and present members of the Kansas legislature are listed at Source Watch (you can hunt state by state) and determine which laws they rubber stamped by the "task force" the "students" attended.
