Nigel "Sem Pernas" Davidson:

I'm 44 years old, father of 3 all compete in Jiujitsu married for 19 years and wife has just started jiu-jitsu too. I'm a congenital amputee with loss of my left leg 4 inches below knee and a deformed hand that looks like a prawn, photo to prove this.

I started mma 2008 with our local karate school , by may 09 is started bjj with Roger Gracie Academy under prof Kev Capel. First 6 months of bjj I trained with my leg on but it was to clumsy as it was an old school type made of leather and metal so we ditched the prosthetic.

My first comp as a white belt in december 2009 which was a bad experience, December 2011 received blue belt from Roger Gracie. May 21st received brown belt from prof David Plested, Kev Capel and Mauricio and havent looked back in defining myself in the artistry and sport.
