Dr. Emery Petchauer is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Lincoln University. He has conducted research internationally in Oxford, England and Sao Paulo, Brazil. His research focuses on the cultural dimensions of teaching and learning, particularly in urban settings. Dr. Petchauer has received teaching awards in both secondary and higher education levels, and he is the author of Hip-Hop Culture in College Students' Lives: Elements, Embodiment, and Higher Edutainment (Routledge Press), the first scholarly study of hip-hop on college campuses
