Are you ready for some eargasms and love anthems? Come inside the playhouse, as Lady V sits down and speak with Larie D. Edwards. You don't want to miss this episode.Larie was born in Richmond Virginia. Destined to follow his passion in music he started singing in church at 7 years old.  Being a child of the Hip Hop generation, it inspired him to write poems and short stories about his life. Propelling him to compete on the boy's poetry team and win various competitions throughout the state. Further honing his talent singing in school choruses, various talent shows, and church services, Larie attended Norfolk State University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Music Media. During this time he got a pure taste of the music industry; being offered a contract with Ruff Records to teaming up with Southeast entertainment. Determined to make a name for himself, he collaborated with Teflon Dons, and wrote and sung the background vocals to "Livin in Newport News". Introduced to Chico Debarge, who loved his style and wanted to get him a record deal this would not come to pass. Not giving up, he took matters in his own hands and went Independent, releasing “Poetic Love”. Winning "Best Male Vocalist" at the Spoken Word Billboard Awards,  winning Indy Artist Of The Year, receiving Vocalist/Poet 2015 and 2016, winning P.O.E.T Game Changer of the Year award, presented with the Luther Vandross Award at the Bronx Unsigned Music Awards, and winning the Dubceez Award for R&B Best Male vocalist 2017 and 2018. Performing at countless venues and opening for artists like Talaam Acey, Joe Claire, John Witherspoon, Jaguar Wright, Ohio Players, Delfonics Revue, and Intro; Larié’s mission is to bridge the gap between all generations to come.
