Ny'AirWaves Radio Show! Exclusive Interview w Country Artist/Actress Vicki Vann

Born Victoria Araceli Denise Vann Turnbough July 4th 1980, . She grew up on a  little farm and spent countless hours with her horses listening to music singing in the mirror with anything resembling a microphone.  Vicki fell in love with country music at an early age, and many musical influences, one of which was her father who was one of the founding members of the gospel group, The Mighty Clouds of Joy.  In addition to singing with the Grammy winning gospel group, her father,  was also the pastor of the church the family attended regularly, but several days throughout the week, and it's where Vicki started singing. During this time she began to study ballet ,classical piano, and dreamed of becoming an actress. After singing and performing in various musical theater productions all through elementary school , high school, and college, upon graduating with a psychology degree from Occidental College,  with a Master's degree, and a  brief stint as a Kindergarten teacher, Vicki's music career would pull her in the direction of her goals and in June '98 she set her sights on recording a demo and left for Nashville, Tennessee, "Music City, USA"!   She has since recorded several tracks and played  shows locally and internationally with some of the greatest musician players that she considers all 'friends & family', along with collecting fans in 32 countries worldwide!  She was featured in a documentary for Country Music Television , along with being featured in several articles in print as well as on the web about her story. Vicki self released her 13 track independent CD "Reckless Heart" in June 2011, along with four singles which include title track; "Reckless Heart", "This Is Where I Get Off",  and "In The Shadows Of My Steeple".  Currently  in the studio working on a brand new release.
