Keith Owens, known as K-Geeta in the rap game was born and raised in South Sacramento, California. His reality music depicts the mirage of glamour and the inevitable consequences of living the fast life. Once a well-known street hustler turned record label C.E.O, he has seen the music industry from not only an executive perspective but also from an artist point of view. He began his rap career in 1994 doing verses with neighborhood rap legend, Gangsta Dre and then realized that there was money to be made in the music industry. He soon opened up the Goodfella Record store, selling tapes and cds, in 2000 and recognized that people from “the hood” just like him, were making a lot of money from opening up record labels and producing their own music. In 2001, Goodfella Records was established. He has worked with many well-known artists, has a catalogue of 6 projects including a dvd with well-known Compton rap artist, The Game, and has independently sold thousands of units of cd’s. In 2005, after realizing that only his own hustle was going to elevate his label to the next level, he decided to take the lead artist position and make his own music.
