Strength in the Inner MAN!

Years ago I heard the Late Superintendent DC Monroe preach and I quote “INSIDE BRACES FOR OUTSIDE PRESSURES"The Spirit’s desire is for you and me to be strengthened with might in your inner man( the spirit man). Spiritual strength is one of the significant operations of God’s power in us. Spiritual strength is the ability to be or do what God has commended. You and I need spiritual strength to live a holy life. Spiritual strength infuses divine ability in you and me to do what God has commanded in the Word. God strengthens us by His Spirit. The Holy Spirit strengthens our spirit, the inner man so that we can both live for God and carry out the ministry He has commanded us.  We cannot live the Christian life or do ministry by our own strength. We need to be strengthened with this power through His Spirit in our spirit. . This word “into” indicates transmission.  Many times we have the feeling that there is something within us strengthening us. With this strengthening, there is the flowing of the Spirit within us. Something is being transmitted and imparted into us by this flowing. This is the strengthening with power through His Spirit into the inner man. I pray that the Lord will indeed strengthen you by His Spirit to be able to live a holy, joyful, anxiety-free, prosperous, loving, and fruit-bearing Christian life!!  Romans 7:22 For in my inner being I delight in God's Law. 2 Corinthians 12:9 But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.  Ephesians 1:18 I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints.
