What started as a two-team event between the Washington, D.C. chapter and the Atlanta, GA chapter has grown to over 20 teams of high school students from chapters across the nation. It's all designed to introduce our students to the field of Information Technology, encourage them to seek higher levels of education, and groom many of them to become our next generation of IT professionals. As a part of the Atlanta HSCC program, high school students gather each Saturday from January to August to develop expertise in creating web applications. The program curriculum focuses on the following web languages:HTMLCSSSQL/MySQL DatabasePHPParticipating students will also learn public speaking skills, how to create and develop presentations, time management skills, how to set and achieve goals and working in a team environment. The top 3 to 5 students of the local program will be selected to receive an all-expense paid trip to compete at the BDPA National Conference. Once at the National Conference, students will be able to attend workshops and seminars covering topics related to personal and academic development, youth entrepreneurship and I.T..
