All-Music Mondays: Me'Shell Ndegéocello - Devil's Halo

All-Music Mondays Are In Full Effect!

Tonight it's a special treat with the every talented, layered, and soulful stylings of Me'Shell Ndegéocello.  Last year, we won a copy of her latest CD, Devil's Halo, from The Joy Keys Show right here on BTR.  The album just amazed us.  It's classic Me'Shell, but yet totally catches you off guard.  Released on Downtown Record in late 2009, it's Me'Shell's eighty studio album, it features an ill-fated theme of love, branded with a very eclectic fusion production.

Factoid:  The album was recorded with live instrumentation, and was denied digital post production.  Those efforts gives the album a very raw sound, as you'll hear tonight.  It was quite well received by critics and fans abroad.  Stick around for track 7, which is her cover of Ready For The World's "Love You Down".  It is sure to be a treat for your ears.  See you there!
