All-Music Mondays Are In Full Effect!

This week it's a flat out FUN record we'll be playing.  We discovered Rooney by seeing the last 30 seconds of their video for "I Should've Been After You", and knew we wanted the whole CD, Calling The World.  Fast forward just a year, and Rooney left their record label, Geffen Records, go to fully independent on their own label, California Dreamin' Records.  Their independent debut spawned what you will be hearing tonight, a wonderfully fun, inventive and fresh record called Eureka.

As a side note, their lead singer, and main composer is the nephew of Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Coppola Schwartzman.  Robert's brother is Jason Schwartzman of the band Coconut Records (another band we really enjoy).

If you've never heard of Rooney, think British Invasion/Electric Light Orchestra/Queen/70's pop sensibility, but like you've never heard it before.  You are going to really enjoy this one tonight, folks.  All this plus news and much more.  Enjoy!
