On this edition of Political Gravity with Jane Hoffman, join your host Jane as she will be discussing the California Gubernatorial race. Also on the table: other budget issues creating an overcast in the Golden State. One big issue is pensions of government workers. Some California public service jobs have a $200,000 pension after just 30 years of service.
The main issue Jane will be discussing is the quality of the top candidates in the Governor's race and the place of the emerging third parties. Jerry Brown is "old school".
Meg Whitman has about as much compassion, as Bush did for well-rounded sex education. She is heartless, cold, and blames the poor for being poor even well before Housekeeper-Gate. Let's get it straight. Governing from your gut takes insight, and a whole lot of people skills. Is Jerry Brown a one-man political machine? Can Meg Whitman personify a businesswoman with balancing budgets as a winner ticket?
Jane will compare the California race to the Governor's race in Minnesota where another old schooler is running, that being Mark Dayton. Is it safe to go for the political establishment in rocky times?
