#6 I Am NOT Powerless

Many who hail from backgrounds and variying degrees of drama, trauma and dysfunction arrive at adulthood with an ability to know what advice to give others - yet struggle with managing our own lives. This chronic sense of hopelessness and powerlessness over our own lives leaves us wondering once again "whats wrong with me" and why our relationships are often such a power struggle.  The good news is - there is nothing "wrong" with you!  This is a common and normal response for those whose lives were more about survival than growing up and experiencing the developmental tasks that allow us to view ourselves as independent of others yet a part of a bigger world.
