Brothers and Sisters Let Us Join Together and Play

This is one you will not want to miss. Do we need to remind you that you must become like a child? Do we need to remind you that all work and no play make Joshua a dull boy? When is the last time that you gave yourself permission to play, to laugh, to rip and run, to make new friends? This show celebrates the play within us that seeks to play outside ourselves. Come play with us tonight as you are invited to bring poetry, music, readings, story, (experiences, metaphors, parable, movies, jokes, art, sculpture, links you want us to look at and comment on, etc.). We believe that experiential learning processes provide opportunities for building skills in leadership, communication, problem solving, valuing differences and many others. With the degrees of tension in the air associated with economic, social and political challenges facing us today, we have become so insulated that we have forgotten the joy of laughter, play and the exchange between one another in ways that are uplifting to each one engaged. Adults learn best when they are actively involved in their own learning, meaning that instruction for adults needs to focus more on the process and less on the content being taught. Strategies such as case studies, role-playing, simulations, stories and self-evaluation are most useful. Our team assumes the role of facilitator and introduces a multi-mensionality of processes opening unlimited potentiality for everyone. We will also talk about the upcoming workshop session and invite you to join us on March 5th for a full day in Alexandria, Virginia. This session is about having awesome fun while you are learning.
