It was a Saturday night, May 10, 1958 to be exact, that "Shock Theater” debuted and unleashed Horror Host Count Gregore on the population of Oklahoma. But the powers that be at TV station WKY-TV, didn't realize what a monster they had on their hands. After disappearing for two months, the demand for Gregore was so great, that they brought him back. In the world of Horror Hosting, even the greats such as Zacherley and Vampira's TV time was much too short, even though their careers continued on long after their on air stints. But that was not the case for Gregore. His various television programs such as "Nightmare Theater,” "Sleepwalkers Matinee,” "Creature Features, ” "Count Gregore Presents," "Thriller Theater" (where he hosted episodes of Boris Karloff's "thriller"), " Scream Country Theatre" and "Horror Theater," kept Count Gregore busy for an incredible 30 years! Just like the aforementioned Hosts, his career did not end there and to this day the good Count is still going strong. Tonight we'll talk to this legendary Host about his astounding 58 years in the business.
