Massage Therapy for the Geriatric Population

Please join eCareDiary's Director of Events, Polly Whitehorn on Tuesday, December 13 at 2 PM EST as she speaks to Dr. Sonya Munk, licensed massage therapist and a PhD in Gerontology about the benefits of massage therapy for older adults and related resources on the alternative mode of treatment.

Dr. Niki Munk is a licensed massage therapist in Lexington, Kentucky and specializes in working with older adults. Dr. Munk was the Program Director for the Lexington Healing Arts Academy where she contributed to the foundation education of new massage therapists. She is currently working with a research group at the University of Kentucky examining the referral to complementary and alternative medicine for chronic low back pain and developing manuscripts to disseminate findings from her dissertation.
